DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2009--
EXCO Resources, Inc. (NYSE: XCO) reported today that one of its
midstream subsidiary’s pipelines leading into the DCP Midstream gas
processing plant in Carthage, Texas was damaged in the explosion
involving several pipelines at the plant on Wednesday, February 11,
2009. It appears that the explosion and fire originated in an area in
which several lines converged, including EXCO’s line. We are working
with DCP and other affected pipeline companies to investigate this
incident. EXCO and its insurance carriers are participating in an
assessment of total damages arising from this incident. EXCO’s midstream
operations were initially slightly impacted, but have been operating at
full capacity since Tuesday, February 17, 2009. There has been an
immaterial impact on EXCO’s upstream production operations.
